At tonight's full council meeting, Hillingdon Conservatives reaffirmed their commitment to sound financial management after the Labour government's disastrous budget. 

Labour's hike in employers' national insurance may result in devastating consequences for charities and small businesses across Hillingdon. Hillingdon Conservatives will continue to pressure the Labour government to mitigate the financial pressures faced as a result of this increase. 

Residents will be disappointed to learn that this tax increase is yet another promise broken by the Labour MP for Uxbridge & South Ruislip. 

Hillingdon Conservatives have a strong track record of sound financial management, having maintained one of the lowest council tax rates in London whilst renovating libraries, protecting weekly bin collections, and providing record investment into road resurfacing amongst many other things that are valued by local residents.

Tonight there is a clear message for Hillingdon residents: Hillingdon Labour would wreck Hillingdon's finances, slashing services and raising your council tax to cover the cost of their lack of financial acumen.
